How does it work?

Backing up your important data is very easy - just follow a few steps and you know that your data is safe;

  Use your user name and password supplied with your copy of Freshbackup.
  Choose a secret password for encrypting and decrypting your data. *
  Select the folders and files that you want to back up.
  Press the 'backup now' button or set a schedule to automatically run your backups at convenient times.
  Email alerts will remind you to back up your files

Setting a schedule is very straight forward - just tick each day that you would like a backup to run and choose a time for the backup to automatically start. The Freshbackup application is designed to run in the background and is still accessible after being closed by using the Fresh icon in the Windows system tray (at the bottom right of the screen) or by holding down the Control, Alt and Shift keys simultaniously for up to 5 seconds.

* When you choose an encryption password, it is vitally important that you keep a safe copy of it. Your files can only be decrypted using this password and it is never transmitted from your PC. If you lose this password, then data encrypted with it cannot be recovered. Only you can decrypt your data once it is backed up with Freshbackup.

Freshbackup will automatically email you to remind you to backup your files.
